At Nomanzi Trade College, our qualified facilitators help competent electricians and plumbers acquire their Red Seal (Section 26D) trade test certificates.
Our trade test facilities in Cape Town or Pretoria offer a trade test preparation course, entailing professional support and guidance to practice and refine your practical skills, gain applicable knowledge, and boost your confidence before writing your trade test. We also facilitate Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) and, ultimately, the plumbing or electrical trade test.

Training Courses and Trade Tests
Become a qualified electrician or plumber with a QCTO-issued Section 26D Red Seal trade test certificate.
We work with individuals, private and public businesses, skills development providers (SDPs), and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges. Private and trade inquiries are welcome.
Classes begin every Monday at Nomanzi Trade College in Cape Town and Pretoria.
Electrical Trade Test
Cape Town: R19,500
Pretoria: R12,500
The extent of gap training will be confirmed during pre-assessment, and the client will be advised accordingly of additional requirements and costs
Duration of trade test preparation and ARPL:
Ten to fifteen working days, depending on applicant experience and the outcome of the pre-assessment
Duration of trade test:
Two working days
Minimum requirements:
Three years proven work experience as an electrician in South Africa, and the completion of an ARPL test
Plumbing Trade test
Cape Town: R14,500
Pretoria: R12,500
The extent of gap training will be confirmed during pre-assessment, and the client will be advised accordingly of additional requirements and costs

Three years proven work experience as a plumber in South Africa, and the completion of an ARPL test
